Chennai HFV Meet 3

It been really long since we all meet. Lets fix a time and agenda. We can get the same arrangement done like last time (I am sure Venkat can get us the hall :0 )

If its 13th feb, Then I am in Chennai to meet my son, I can come to the venue with my Rega apollo CDP or the Bryston BP25 pre. The power amp being a bulky one will be difficult to carry.

Last time the meeting started at around 10AM and went on till 1600 hours. Lunch was part of the meet.

This sort of thing has to be demand-led, not marketing-led.

Perhaps some of us a little shy of creating that demand, because we know that we are giving a lot of work to the small handful of people that actually manage the event?

If not a day long session ... why not an evening meet to just discuss our passion and put faces behind names...

I think it is the expenditure thing that is keeping people away.

May be, we should look towards using a community hall of many apartment complexes that are available. We should be able to get it free.

Best would be to start after lunch and break off by 7 to 7:30 P.M. That way, only coffee and snacks would be needed to be arranged.

Chairs, tables and dhurry to cover the floor to reduce reflections off the ceiling can be hired. Transporting equipment etc involves some expenditure too.

If we have a gathering of 20 people, Rs. 100/- each can be pooled in to cover the above expenses. Even this can be got sponsored by the dealers who can be roped in if the mods use their good offices.

It is more than 1 year we met to be precise 1 1/2 years.May be we can meet in about a month's time.Let us deliberate this and come to a decision.
