Have heard from one of the dealers that Denon India will launching killer offers on their new *11 series AVRs from 15th August.

The offers are supposed to be :

1) 1611 with free - Denon Headphones (mrp approx 4k)
2) 1911 with free - IPod Dock (mrp approx 8k)

Hold your breath..........:licklips:

3) 2311 with free Denon BD player(mrp approx 30K !!!!)

These are just the offers I heard of, so incase your are planning on a new AVR wait a couple of days.

Disclamer: I am just putting up what I heard from a dealer, accuracy of deals will only be known if/when these offers are launched by denon.
PLEASE do not hold me responsible if this offer is not launched or is different, am just posting this to benefit our members

Cheers,

I went to the Denon dealer in Metropolitan Mall Gurgaon and he did tell me about the IPOD dock offer with 1911.
I did not inquire about the 1611 or 2311.

Yes, according to profx bangalore, 2311 comes with free blu ray player dbp-1610 for limited time as Denon is celebrating 100 years. Price of 2311 is around 64K. Currently it is open for booking and will be available from next week.

Hey - was incorrect, the figure of 44k was for the Onkyo 608.
The 1911 is at 38k.

And by the way, I bot the 2310 (last year's model) for 50K over the weekend!! I thought it was a great deal! :)

My friend bought 2311 from ProFx, Hyderabad and he got BD player free. They delivered yesterday only.

I still have to visit his place for demo :-)

He paid about 1.4L for whole package, 2311 + polk Tsi500 + Polk A600 + Polk side (don't know the model number) + hdmi + cables.

I can answer if anyone has any questions.

Was there at ProFX, Worli showroom for auditioning on behalf of a friend. The offers on the receivers are exactly how everybody has stated:

1. 1911 - MRP 45,000 (iPod Dock free)
2. 2311 - MRP 69,000 (Blue Ray Player 1610 free. MRP 36,900 - Is it really worth that much?)

8% discount offered on both with little bargaining. No stock availability for 1910 or 2310 receivers.

I saw close to 50% discounts on some Denon models at Profx bangalore m.g road this sunday. I could not recall the model names hence I did not post an Advisory. But one of the 19xx series was going for 9999/- and another 2xxx for 15k. original prices of both was double.

A free Blue Ray player along with the Denon 2311 is a very tempting offer, especially seeing that I wanted to get myself a Denon 2310 once my Flat is completed. Only problem is that my flat won't be ready for another 2 years. Does it still make sense to go in for the offer ? What do you guys think ?

Regards,

Sunil.

No. By then BRay player prices will crash even further and a new product will shine on the horizon with features that you want. Wait till your flat is ready.

My enquiries show that the BD players available in India are only Region C. That means we can watch only BDs of Indian origin and Bds which are universal. Making the BD players region free is not as easy as making DVD players region free.

When sales people say their BD player is region free, they are referring only to the DVD part of it.
