Hey everyone, it's about to become quite obvious that I'm totally out of my depth when it comes to setting up/understanding audio equipment, so I'm looking for help.
Would it be possible to connect directly to a set of two Mackie SRM450 speakers from my laptop using a 3.5 mm to 2-XLR adapter to run audio for a movie that I'll be playing through a projector. From what I've read, since the speakers are powered, this should be possible without any additional components (like a mixer) but information seems conflicting.
