I have a CRT TV & I have connected my philips 2.1 home theater to tatasky+ stb. But i find the sound to be not very clear(whereas when i connect the same home theater for listening to transcend mp3 player the audio quality is very clear.) What settings should i do in my tatasky to make the audio clear. I need suggestions from hifians in this regard?

how have you connected it? Have you used digital out or analogue?

Whats the volume setting on your tata sky, try keeping it high and see if sound is better

The sound settings in my tatasky that i have chosen are:
1.output type:SPDIF
2.Preferred audio:PCM

the other option left out are:
1.output type:HDMI
2.preferred audio:DOLBY DIGITAL

these settings are only for the digigtal out. In any case I think that tatasky has disabled the HDMI setting. Just connect your analogue outs to your theatre and keep the volume on tata sky as high as you can.

Change thje output type to something else( change to stereo if its there). SPDIF is meant for digital signal.

preferred audio:DOLBY DIGITAL --> change to stereo mode.

I am using it to connect to my amp with RCA cables (analogue), the sound quality is great. I find 30% gain is more than enough

Purchase the Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
