One of my friends bought a smaller version of it from eBay (on my suggestion

) few weeks back.
Full HD 1080p RTD 1055 Coopa TV001 Media Player with 1yr warranty + HDMI Cable | eBay
> In one day, it became unusable. When we first connected it, it played fine after detecting the 2 TB external Seagate disk. Played for sometime and we shut it off.
Returned back in the evening and it doesnt recognize the media anymore. Tried different media - hard drive, usb, sd card.
Got in touch with the seller, he was kind enough to replace it and sent a replacement piece.
This one worked for 4 days and dead again. Spoke to seller and this time he tells us to wait till he gets back to us after talking to the manufacturer.
The dealer however was nice enough to hear us and advised us to wait till he gets back on this when we wanted his suggestion on buying a better media player. He also told us that this was the first time this kind of thing has happened - and that too twice.
I am using a Zinwell ZP-500 bought from the same seller almost an year ago and it works like a charm till todate.
The only thing we noticed is that with Coopa, after we used the audio from the digital coaxial cable (to a Philips HTIB set), it crashed. The 2nd piece worked for 4 days and most of the time, we were using analog audio.
Can someone think of a possibility of coaxial cable causing a media player to fail - power spikes, power leakage????
