I have bought a set of Wharfedale DX-1 speakers. I am looking for a suitable AV receiver for it.

I have to choose between Denon 1713 & Marantz 5007 (If 1713 is not enough) or and Onkyo 515.

I shall mostly watch TV or movies.

If you ask for Denon they simply dodge around and suggest alternatives such as Pioneer 1122 or Onkyo 414. Some even call Denon "Toys". They claim that Denon trip a lot.

I wonder whether Denon's quality has gone down or whether Dealers earn less so they don't promote it. It seems that Denon is most aggressively priced.

Also suggest best options for me considering that I don't want 2 zone or 7.1. But I want internet Radio, 3D etc.

Will it benefit me to go for Denon 2113 with Small speakers like Wharfedale DX-1.

I am using Denon 2310 AVR from 2009. Never tripped or caused a problem till date (touch wood :D). Solid performer for the price.

Recent models have been having some HDMI board issues,, otherwise Denon avr rock.. no complaints.. Recently baiju and few fellow hfv members ' hdmi board went kaput.

Denon has some quality issues. I had to service my avr twice, one for hdmi board and the other for one faulty channel.
