I am buying Denon AVR -1311 today @ griha vaibhav today for wharfedale diamond 9.2 bookshelf speakers.any last minute advise?

Check the power of 1311,it may be uderpowered for 9.2(6 Ohm)

Front L/R - 75w + 75w
( 8 ohms , 20hz - 20khz , THD 0.08 % )
110w + 110w
( 6 ohms , 1khz , THD 0.7 % )

isn't this sufficient?


or can you suggest better speakers for this AVR?

or can yamaha rx - 467 drive these speakers?

110 w for 6 ohm is technical reading & if you play louder,you may get distortion.
Spk with higher sensitivity & pure 8 ohm will match with it.
say Tannoy(25-70w), MS ,some of Jamo.

Now Yam467 looks strong with 105w power.It should be OK with 9.2 in moderate sized room.Only check the SQ whether you like.

Moreover, 1311 does not have menu navigation keys & Source select Knob on the front panel.
But should'nt matter, we anyways use the remote for navigating the menu.

sandeep, any chance of this having upscaling and upconversion....
I dont think 1311 has upscaling or upconversion and 1611 has, thats another difference I guess ....

AFAIK, 1611 supports upconversion not upscaling which is thr in 1911.

Can anyone tell me if the upscaling is good enough ? As per the specs any analogue input is upscaled to 1080p ? Does that mean things like Tatasky SD will look like HD ?
