Denon 1910 or the Denon 1610 ??

I heard Den 1610 with Jamo spk pack(budget tower sys) & sound was harsh in open mall.
Decoding was good as movements in scene can be felt.It was at home town mall (Vikroli,LBS marg)
So spk matching is very imp with Denon AVRs.

I heard a denon 1610 on polk audio and kef towers.

My impression was the denons are warm, do NOT combine warm speakers to warm amps otherwise the sound will be really chubby/fatty types. You need a slightly bright or less warm speakers to make better use of denon amp.

In regards with jamo I'd say they go better with slightly brighter amps like marantz.

the only real drawback is the radio tuner... on the fm you can only scan channels 91.9 91.1 91.3 91.5 91.7 and so on.... so if you want to listen to fm 91.8 well you cant...same thing for the AM channels 780,790,800 but if you want to listen to 783 you cannot... this by design...apparently the some genius engineer was working overtime. i am not sure if this problem is with all models of denon or only the 1910 model plus the model i have is the usa one not sure if the same problem exist around the world or not .
