Hi Friends,

This is my first post here.

As per the title of the thread
Denon AVR1610 or Yamaha RX-V467 with Sonodyne Genie2 speaker system with Roarr108 SUB

I have shortlisted these after some net surfing and few auditions at Sonodyne and Onkyo.

Right now i am but confused between the receivers. Denon or Yamaha.

Some expert advice needed.

I would advice you to go for Denon 1910, if you can afford 10k more and not 1610 to be future proof. No yamaha please as it would be difficult to get it serviced in Kolkata.

I will look at the Denon 1910.. but did u rule out Yamaha only because of service issues? How is the performance of the RXV467.

What you're saying is inaccurate - Yamaha have their own store in Kiraya Road, Kolkata. It's not going to be difficult getting service from Yamaha at this point.
