Folks,
I finally bit the bullet and ordered the denon x3000 via ebay last night. Will be shipped from the US. Will keep you posted on how the shipment happens.
Just wanted to use this opportunity to
1. connect with other denon x3000 users
2. Other people who have shipped heavy electronics (amps etc) from ebay US.
Wish me luck :-)

Congrats! And so it has some rich features too. So you have a 4K TV to watch the stuff?
Do post your images once you receive it. Enjoy your stuff.

@sgmane, no i only have a 1080p projector.. No 4K TV. :-(
@raghu, I puchased it from ebay- came to around 67k. Delivery will happen in the next two weeks. Add the cost of a 1KVA stepdown to the above as well :-(.
I demo'ed the x1000 and it is fantastic.(so hoping x2000 will be better)

Congrats buddy, hope it serves you well for a long time... In fact I've been mulling over getting X3000 or Yammy RX-A820. The 2nd HDMI out in X3000, which is a step up over X1000 and X2000, will be a definite advantage if you want to connect both TV and projector to the AVR, you don't have to switch the connection every time.

I would be grateful if you could post your impressions once you've set it up.

Cheers
Prabhu

Prabhu, Thanks. Expecting the shipment by 20-Aug. Will post all the details to HFV :-)
There are a few key things: for example the x3000 has a power suplpy which is 3 lbs more than its 2012 model 2313ci. Also both these hdmi outs are independently configurable. In my case, my plasma is 720p and my projector is 1080p. so i wanted different out resolutions.I dont believe in one size fits all :-). Also, i have heard that its scaling is fantastic (480i cable signals to 1080p ). I am excited. Will keep you posted

Hello Folks, SO yesterday i did receive a package from bluedart. And it was a big goof up. They shipped me some server in place of my x3000. I did my own investigation and found that my x3000 was interchanged with a software company in bangalore. I called Bluedart and advised them of this. Some manager from bluedart will call me up. Waiting to get my package.
In the meantime, i went ahead and got polk TSX440t fronts and PSW110 sub and TSX150C center and OWM3 surround and tsx110b FRONT highs.. Still unpacking.. but first looks of the 440t very very impressive. Solid Built. Will share my feedback.
The 440T has 3 6 and 1/2 inch drivers and can go low to 37hz., Still the POlk manual for the subwoofer asks me to calibrate the fronts as "SMALL". Not sure what to do. I am worried if i will lose all the functionality of my fronts..

Not sure whether to congratulate on your new speaker purchase :clapping: at the same time feel bad for the Bluedart couriers's goof up:mad:

Can you share the Pricing details of these polk speakers? and if possible the individual pricing please?

The 7.1 polk package comes to around 70k+.

Just got news from home that the denon x3000 has finally arrived. Very excited. Though a bit jittery on how the amp would have fared through this goof up and the journey across the seven seas. it is always a worry until the first few days when we know all has worked.
I am also apprehensive to unpack the polk completely and install it now, since i have my daughter's birthday party this weekend. I dread to think what would happen if the crowd gets too curious and spill sauce on the systems
But i am sure my excitement will end up making me taking that dangerous step of unpack and play for the crowd :-)
PS: can somebody answer on calibrating the fronts as "SMALL"

As you have a sub you can make the fronts as small even though you have FS in the AVR settings. Normally if there is no sub people tend to make the fronts as Large in the AVR setting so that all the bass frequencies can be achieved in the fronts, but in your case you have a dedicated sub to cater to the bass requirements. So go ahead and set as small and if you are intending to use the AVR/Polk for your music as well my suggestion would be turn off all the DSP settings on the AVR and use just the direct 2 channel mode.

Thanks

What I have understood is that if your speaker is set as Large it will not transfer all of the lower frequencies to your sub. It is something to do with the algorithm or something. Set it to small and then manually adjust the crossover for the sub.

From the AVS Forums:

" Small vs. Large speakers. This is the most commonly discussed topic by MultEQ users. The first thing to understand is that it is not a personal insult to your system if your speakers were detected as Small. It simply means, that in the room they were measured the - 3 dB point was detected at 80 Hz or above. This may happen even if the manufacturer's spec shows that the speaker is capable of playing lower. In fact, there are several benefits at crossing the speakers over at 80 Hz that have to do with power handling and headroom in the bass region that will be handled by the subwoofer amplifier.

The second most common question also relates to Small vs. Large. In the Denon receivers, MultEQ will designate as Large any speaker that has a -3 dB point below 80 Hz. For non-THX speaker systems this is an arbitrary definition that often causes confusion. All it means is that the speaker will not be bass managed unless the user tells it to be. Because Audyssey is not in charge of bass management, we have to abide by the manufacturers' rules and simply report the information found by the measurements to the bass management system.

In situations where the speakers do not play significantly below 80 Hz, an additional step must be taken to make sure that there is no loss of bass information. The user must set the speaker to Small manually so that bass management is performed properly."
