please reply

Manu,
You can use any of the above-mentioned methods as long as you are avoiding reflections. The same applies for ceilings or any other wall.

It is a general belief that diffusion is better for listening rooms(two channel) rather than in Home Theaters (multi-channel)

Google and do some reading on diffusion. Also have a look at this listening room treated mostly with diffusers - ceiling, sides and rear. Absorption has been used, but very little:

Manu,

In the thread below, you'll find some interesting ceiling options:
http://www.hifivision.com/av-enhancers-room-acoustics/2979-please-suggest-false-ceiling-option.html

In my Home Theatre, I am trying to do a combination of diffusion and absorption. It is called Binary Amplitude Diffusor. I have posted some information and pictures in the above-mentioned thread. You will also find some information about how I am doing it in my Home Theatre Build thread below:

If you are not in a hurry, please wait until I complete my Home Theatre (2 weeks), I shall post my experience on the False Ceiling Thread.

Manu;

Armstrong is a good but expensive option. You may go for model "Optra" by armstrong. Its costs around rs.100/sqft including installation.

Vinay, has used armstrong tiles for his HT ceiling.

Cheers!!

hey santhol bro

waiting for your reply brother

Sorry Mate, I missed replying to your question.

For my room of size 15ftx12ft with 8ft height, I have spent roughly around 1.25 lakhs including labour. This includes some fancy interiors, wooden frames, anutone boards, fibreglass and fabric. If I had not done sound-proofing, then treating only the reflection points would have costed me only half as much. Hope this helps:)
