I recently bought Sony Bravia 32BX350 LCD TV. I observed digital noise in screen while watching STB & DVD both, when object is dark (blue/black) i can see its clearly. It's more when i playback DVD from Sony DAV-340 HT. I have Tata sky SD STB. Noise is very less with bright or day light scene. I tried various settings but its still there. Though its not big issue, but, i did not observed this with my older Samsung LCD TV. Please suggest if any screen setting can fix this, right now its default.

Your problem may be resolved a bit after calibration. Download the DVD ISO calibration disc. Burn the ISO image to DVD and tune the contrast, brightness, etc.

Do you have any HD material to paly back? Do you get the problem with HD also?

The BX series is the entry-level LCD from Sony and would be limited in capabilities.

Thanks, my HT can play DVD only, would it be able to play the calibration disk ?
HT can upscale to to HD.

It looks better now, after reducing picture, sharpness and setting off MPEG noise. Thanks.
