Digital TV Recorder - Transfer of files recorded

Is it possible to transfer the files recorded in Digital TV recorder to PC/Laptop. If so what are the connections available for transfer of files.

By Digital TV recorder I mean, something like, those given in the following links

I have not seen these recorders, but I am quite positive these companies will not enable an easy transfer of data. If you are looking for an USB connection or something similar, I doubt you will find it.

Both Airtel and TS+ clearly state that transfer of recorded stuff is not possible.

But you could try an A2D (analog to digital) capture card and check.
