Can I post here the HIFI items which I intend to sell for members just to have idea of cost and willingness. Certainly items can be posted in classified thereafter. Just a FAQ for mods

I wish that it must be allowed just to have idea of cost and people interested and thereafter it can be posted in classified. Anyway intend to sell extreme audiophile virtually new items at very reasonable price for local buyers

You can very well create an " Interest Check" thread in general or av lounge section

There is NO interest check option as it is not allowed. If you are selling personal items, go to For Sale by Owner and create a thread. We will look at the thread to see if it passes all rules and then approve it. If not it will be deleted.
To me it seems to be that you are more of a dealer. In that case, become a dealer member, and post you products in For Sale by Dealer. To become a dealer, send a PM to 'HifiVision'.
Remember, you cannot sell CDs, DVDs, Blu-Ray discs, or media files of any kind. You can only sell hardware AV items such as players, amplifiers, speakers, cables, etc.

Any of your representative is welcome to visit me any time and can see my set up and also contact members to whom I sold some of my items. You will come to know the truth. Based on your yesterday suggestion (which you edited today morning and suggested me to post in seller), I posted. Kindly ignore for any violation which will not be repeated. BTW just see the price of items I sold/intended to sell and condition before judging anything.
Hey venkat, he is not a dealer.. He got the setup on the forum's recommendation last december. I remember few members asking him not to go for the ATC as it has no dynamics in low volumes.
Check his other threads for clues.

Sorry the editing was for some spelling mistakes. I NEVER suggested you create any interest check. Please refer to rule no 23 which clearly states:
"You are not allowed to start any "Interest Check" threads in this forum. If you would like to sell your used gear please start a new thread in the "For Sale By Owner" forum."
You want to sell anything, there is a forum for that, and just create a thread there. Most items put up for sale in HifiVision gets sold in a few days, if not a few hours.

I must have missed something somewhere, there used to be cds, dvds, blurays etc on sale till very recently. How come its not allowed anymore, I remember there was some discussions about people buying blurays from US and selling here for profit. Was this due to that. What about casettes, are those not allowed too. Are all these not allowed for new imported items etc... what about someone selling their used personal collection.
Doors, we have stopped allowing sale of media quite some time ago. We had a number of unsavory characters who were selling 'imported' media of all kinds. We started receiving a number of complaints from members that they were receiving used items being sold as 'new'. HFV cannot do quality check, and is not yet a e-commerce site. We expect members to buy and sell in good faith.
If any member has a personal collection of any media, the best would be to send a PM to the mods and get their permission.

The same point was raised number of times and no valid reason given pointing any duplicate/copied material sold here by members.So no chance it will be restored here.:lol: As Venkatcr told that it will be permitted on request, i raised one sale thread quoting valid pictures- not got approved..

How abt having a specific HFV FB page for trading/exchanging blu rays ? That should serve purpose. Most of us have known eachother virtually and we have trust to trade with eachother.

Srini, media sale/exchange is NOT allowed. You can send a PM to the SuperMod to allow it based on some criteria such as member who has been around for 1 year, member with 500 or more posts or some such logic. There is no harm in trying.
