Diy amplifier kits, par

The class A 50W will be better than anything else but I will tell you its very costly to complete.Class A amp build is very costly because of its power supply and heat sink also it will be power consuming always runs hot.

First of all you just plan with your current setup I mean the speakers start from there then you think about the design.I will suggest you build a class AB find the link below

60-80W Power Amplifier

you can order PCB from there parts are easily available or you just check

Dont buy any fancy Chinese kit all hi end caps are now available in India

Was travelling for the past week, will try an do it today. Not sure about the brand, yes front is a bit crude without my adding any controls, since I didnt need volumes, balance and selector.

It looks like all kits are from eBay. So basically they are almost same of the quality. But if tell to chose one then -
1. if you are skilled and route the wires well then choose PS+AMP on different PCBs. - option 1.
2. Otherwise for less skilled, on board protection relay and PS is better option by order - 4 , 2 ,3. Because quality of caps can not be guaranteed in these kits. Mostly option 3 is showing caps which could not be believed. They should sound more or less same.
3. Option 5 is class AB Amp and not class A. it would still need decent heatsink and power supply. But wiring layout and PS will need some skills, not suggested as first amp.

The board is installed and is the oblong section on the front upper part with the display. The remote that comes with it is tiny and crude but does the trick.

Yup, the Dexa is fine except for the front panel.

I had a plan to do an brushed aluminium front panel with 8 or 10mm aluminium with just 4 drilled and countersunk holes for the mounting screws, plus one each for a switch, LED and volume control - now on the back-burner, but just about any CNC milling machine shop would be able to do it for about Rs.500 - Rs.1k, depending on the extent of machining, etc. required.

Wood is probably an even less expensive and more aesthetic option - a dark or red wood goes better with black powder-coated cabinets. Teak will also work.

I dont like the two RCA outs at the front , would have preferred them at the rear, with an extra set if I wanted to connect my sub without a preamp. In the event I do have a pre which I will deploy to connect my TV as an additional source.,

Thanks. What if option 5 is available as completed board? I have a pile of good heatsinks.

That would be good! You need to arrange power supply too - transformer 32-0-32/200VA, bridges, capacitor filter bank, etc. not to forget you will need 2 of amp boards to make stereo amp, it's mono in picture.

Just a quick cross-link to a bunch of MyRef Rev C kits being offered in the "for sale" section of this forum:

http://www.hifivision.com/sale-owner/54995-six-lm3886-amplifier-kits-mauro-penasa-rev-c.html

I can confirm that these are the V1.3 boards and kits which I supplied to the seller, and are authentic and will give excellent results if built as they are. A few parts may also be upgraded as needed, depending on the current preferences of the builder. The boards may be built for any of Rev C, Rev E or Rev FE compensation (with minor changes to compensation parts in the latter two cases).
