Hi,

I am planning to use my very old woofers which was used with my old assembled Tape with a New Norge 1200 Professional Pre/Power. Speaker details are as

YP Woofer - 4 Ohms 8 Inches
Power RMS 40W - Power MAX 70W
SPL 1W @ 1M 92db
Frequency 38-14000 HZ

Small Tweeter of 4 Ohms

Will this match with Norge
And what will be the 2 WAY Crossover.

Please help me to sort it out.

8" with 38-14000hz range, then it must be a full ranger and not woofer!
in that case i think u can just manage to run with a small capacitor for high passing the tweeter and matching the sensitivity of tweeter to that of woofer with resistor network.

Yes you are correct I could see a small capacitor soldered on tweeter. So will this work ?

yes. it will work. but will it sound good with norge amp!? not sure

At last got some details about the drivers which I am going to use..
Tweeter - Any Dome Tweeter 3 - 20 khz
Mid Woofer - 4" 8 Ohms
Woofer - 12" 8 ohms and frequency 30Hz to 500 HZ or 30Hz to 1KHZ
X-over - atleast 500 hz and 5-7 khz

Suggest a good amp for this

You need two crossovers for this.
