Hi All,
Recently bought Wharfedale 9.0 from a FM.Initially I was thinking to buy stands for these speakers but finally thought of going DIY way.

I have started working on these stands.

Details of material being used;
Top Metal Sheets 2 numbers 9"X9"
Bottom Metal Sheets 2 numbers 10"X10"
Thickness 6mm
Metal Pipes 2 numbers length 30" and diameter 2"

Here are some pics of work in progress...

Thanks Koushik for the pointer but I have something else in mind for spikes.
Lets see if I can get those fabricated...

After fixing spikes, naked threading was not looking good.
To cover the threads I got these caps fabricated and they look great now.

There is a hole at the bottom to fill the sand.Please suggest if I really need to fill the pipes with sand or any other material...

I did not want to have an open hole at the top, hole at bottom is covered by a nut and there would not be any leak...forget about sand even water cant leak :)

Fill the pipe completely but not sand all the way. Intersperse the fill with something like kitchen steel scrubbers
