DIY speaker kit in bangalore (economy class)

Check some relevant videos in you tube, you will get a fairly good idea. If you cannot assemble it yourself get it done from a person who has some knowledge of this stuff. Just be careful not to fit speakers in any random box, there are calculation for box volume. Impedance of speakers and wattage matching with the amplifier. Quality Crossover, damping material and box material all plays a very important role. All in all it is project in itself, one wrong step and the speakers will not sound right.

Make 2 way speaker, it will be easy and good for the purpose/application or else you can buy active bookshelf speakers of some decent brand.
For computer its better buy a 2.1 home theatre. There are plenty in your nearest Reliace digital etc. If you think of buying an Amp and building pair of book shelves or towers then better do a sealed enclosure. Ported boxes need quite a bit calculation and port tuning. If its 3 way then you need to make a enclosure within the main box for midrange otherwise woofer rear reflection will disturb the midrange cone

There are many designers who design speakers for commercial installation and studios. You can very good pair of bookshelf speakers within 15k to 20k from them. These can compete with speakers of commercial bands which cost atleast 4x more. They have indepth knowledge and experience of speaker design. Audio always doesn't need to be expensive. One such person is Mr. Mark of Craftel from chennai.
