Hi Guys,
I have a pair of bookshelfs that are lying around they have a 6.5" Peerless (india) drivers model S20NP T/S parameters below. I am looking at building a subwoofer with a plate amp to reuse the drivers in the BS.

I am looking to building a 6th order bandpass enclosure in MDF to house the 2 x 6.5" drivers.

Please let me know what you guys think.
PS: Where can i get a plate amp in mumbai?

T/S Parameters
Qms 4.12
Qes 0.32
Qts 0.30
Vas 19.27
MMS 45.79
CMS 300
BL 15.88

Cheers!
Nik

I haven't built anything like this, but in the past I had tried active bandpass setup with my OB woofers to test the room nodes. I hooked up to 4th order and the bass outcome is not something I liked, the transient response being poor at higher orders and lower bandwidths.

IMO, for in room use it might be beneficial if the pass band is chosen to compensate for the deficiency in an existing setup. Also acquiring a sub module with bandwidth and frequency adjustment options will be useful in integrating.

Regds...
