dear all
when i was searching to setup a home movie theatre at my home i stumbled up on TEXAS INSTRUMENT's( registered TM)dlp technology
pls help me to compare the LCD PROJECTORS and DLP PROJECTORS
my usage is only to watch DVDs of movies mainly and to double up as a standby tv.sparingly
pls help me.my budget is 75,000/

In your budget your could go for a better LCD Projector rather than a compromised performance based DLP projector. DLP is the newer technology then LCD but over the years LCD technology in the projectors have matured enough to compete with the likes of budget DLP based models. Within your budget you could look for Hitachi, Panasonic, Optoma, Viewsonic models.

For DLP based projector from your budget as you said. the optoma HD-65 is the best option in the DLP projectors shoot out, many of our forum members were using this projector. you can contact Textronics.
