Earphone replacement Cable

Dear All

My beloved Brainwavz M2 was not in use for the past 6 months due to multiple breakage in the cable. Last week i have successfully resurrected it with a cheap earphone cable (my spare low cost earphone with the speaker being cut). Now it is as good as new.

I am not happy with the current cable

1) I need a good replacement earphone cable. Checked online but couldn't find any except china online shop. Please suggest where to source

2) Can i make a earphone cable by DIY method? if yes please guide

3) What is the best soldering wire that can be sourced? The one i currently use doesn't stick properly inspite of being used with soldering paste..

Any help here would be greatful. I am getting a lot of cables from chinese shops (lunoshop, aliexpress etc)

Also, lot of ppl using mogami & toxic cable for their diy methods.. Any good online shop for just the cables? or any electronic shop in Mumbai ?
