Egate P316 projector?

This is regarding the Egate P316/313/315 projector. Does anyone on this forum own it?
It's a projector with very strictly average features. However its USP is: the claimed 50,000 hours of bulb life. OK, I know it's probably a very exaggerated figure, but even if the life is only half of the claimed value, it still works out to 25,000 hours which is still pretty unbeatable. The real killer is the price, which is around 18K. I know people have got Optoma HD66 for around 5K more but there is the hassle of getting it from the US, customs, etc.... and then the life of the lamp is only around 4000 hrs in eco mode.
So if anyone owns this projector please let us know about real world performance. Kindly refrain from posting unsubstantiated blanket statements like: all Chinese projectors are bad/unreliable/Sh**ty. But if you have any personal experience with said product please do let us know how you find it.

Since you cite a long lamp life as a major point, then you want to probably use it for long time. In which case it's much better to go with a reputed brand than the one like this which offers only a 6month warranty.

I would probably take at least 15yrs to get through the 25000hrs life myself. I doubt I would want to keep the same old projector for so long.

If hd66 is only 5k more(?) I would say that's a much better option.

I have an LG HS 201 projector which is an LED PJ with bulb life of 30k hrs. Picture clarity and vividness is excellent. Brightness is ok, won't work well during the day or with ambient light though. Comes with a 2year Indian warranty.

I dont have much against chinese made products but you are comparing a 800x600 4:3 projector to the likes of HD66 which is a 1280x720 projector... I have gotten some really great deals by buying chinese products over the years but in this case I will say that the VFM you will get from a HD66 or a similar projector you wont get from this projector even though the HD66 will cost you twice as much... 1st of all this projector will have trouble projecting over 50-70in diagonal 4:3 image... Then you will have crappy image quality due to the native resolution of 800x600... You can see that the image quality is crappy on the video review posted on youtube... In that review too the projected image does not seem like more than 50-60inches... Anyway all this is just my personal opinion & if you do end up buying this projector pls do post ur review & post some pics of it...

Used to be 48k , discounted to 38k at the time I bought it over a yr ago. Just checked the LG website and shocked to see it quoted at 59k!

I am using this projector for nearly 2 years, it is a complete value for money and visibility is also too good in ambient lights. The trick is to place the lights correctly.

The reason i bought this projector was to beam live data of stock + commodity markets and is often used for 14 hours a day with one or two breaks. Further i compulsory use it 5 days a week for at least 7 hours that too non stop.

Hey i dont know about your experience but i just bought EGATE p424, amazing picture quality and amazing 3d. If you know about LED technology , i think it is worth a buy at this price. andmost of the product that we buy including Apple is made in china, so what big deal about china ??

Wow so 3 post u have made on this forum & all 3 post have been about how great this projector is??? & "amazing 3D" where the fk did that come from... I do hope most FMs know that this is actually the seller of this projector on ebay who is writing these posts... BTW buddy here is a bit of forum marketing 101 for u... 1st become a contributing member of a forum for a few weeks/months & then after u gained some credentials as a contributing member then post about the products u are selling on ebay(truthfully I might add) with full discloser... People respect honesty...

Shredder, these are the chinese type of brands and are making all false claims. Their specs on paper are very good but are useless projectors. Complete waste of money. I have three such kind of projectors . the worst projector i had ever seen. Please beware these claims of lumens, resolutions are completely false. Telling you from my experience. If you still want to go for it buy from me in 20k. 2,800 Lumens, WXGA, HDMI etc.

i knew it the Chinese known brands also are inferior to the well known major brands .. so spending 30k on an acer bulb type Pj seemed logical!

Vinay sir, which projector you are using for last 2 years - egate or LG?
