Here is an example that Kimmosto (the author of VituixCAD software) published recently on the htguide thread for VituixCAD.
The thread itself is a treasure trove of speaker design information, especially using VituixCAD.
In recent posts he has illustrated the kind of automatic speaker response optimization possible with VituixCAD. Off course no traced curves of anything. Everything has been done using real measurements. The highlight is that the design itself is a 2 way using a tweeter like SB26ADC and the state of the art purifi woofer/and passive radiator. It is active and incorporates FIR filters. This being an academic exercise, he has not commented about any listening impressions. The speaker pic also highlights the kind of baffle shape considered to achieve better directivity with a direct radiating (non-waveguided) tweeter.
Attached are 1) the speaker 2) its relevant frequency and time domain responses.

For information, VituixCAD speaker simulator has been updated from version 1.1 to 2.0 with the following additions and changes (so far): Crossover schematic changed from formal block ladder to free form supporting unconventional topologies. Predefined passive blocks replaced with individual...
