Excellent advice!

While I am reading this article I am divinely enjoying western classical music recorded in my TDK tapes in late 70s from a TT in my Naks and I am slowly realizing what Nirvana is all about in the material plane. Fully concur.

For a long time, I've been thoroughly enjoying lossless music played on my iPod via a Rs. 300 amp. The amp has "non-audiophile" levels of THD. It's powered by a Rs. 200 laptop brick which has horrible quality components inside. The amp doesn't even have a case. It's nude. I have paralled capacitors to the amp PS input. The parallel connections are made with straightened paper clips. The amp drives micro-compo speakers which are modded. You know what? It sounds sublime to MY ears outputting tunes that I listen to. For me that's all that matters.

P.S. I have a list of simple mods planned for the amp and a new PS that I think MAY take the sound to another level. But then the total cost of the amp would come to maybe Rs. 1000. At the moment I'm too busy enjoying it the way it is to implement the mods. Some day... :)

Nice article!! Thanks sid!!

There is nothing perfect in this world. What sounds enjoyable to one is his heaven, even if there are some so called flaws. When one start to compare and envy, it will only lead to frustration.

Nothing is perfect in this world and it applies to audio too. You become satisfied only if you learn to live with imperfections, smarter adjustments and alignments.

This article is so very true, isn't it? Atleast for me it is.
I enjoy music even on a fellow audiophile's state-of-art system, on my modest system at home, on my mobile, and even on the bare speakers playing FM in a public Bus. As long as, the tune is melodious and of my likings.

Great Article , Just reveals the facts.

For me the Music is static and the Mood is dynamic. The Feel when ,some Motel based Shops plays my fav Music with Crappy system during the Late night journey Sometimes is not equal to listening the same music in the Hi-fi Stuffs.

Its all about how are shaped and the Music like water gets into us and find its own shape somthings

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
