JAMO A102 is an econimical and budget oriented speakers and they are one the best for the money you pay. Though they are small, they sound better. Again, we cannot compare them with big floor standing speakers, but I would say one the best among cheaper speakers. Even the reviews are positive about it's performance for the money that you pay. Any way, please audition it and see if you like it. Between, can you please share the total cost break-up between the AVR and the speakers ? I remember Jamo A102 being sold at around 30k (without bargain).

Thanks for the quick response brother.. I had a similar opinion about JAMO satellite speakers and wanted a second opinion..

Apart from Cambridge audio sirocco 5.1, can you suggest some other rock solid bookshelce speakers which will go well with DENON 1513?

Shanmune,

The cost that has been offered to me for DENON & JAMO combination are:
DENON 1513 - 25,555 after discount & bargain
JAMO A102 with SUB 210 - 35,910 after discount and bargain

My budget is around 70K. Looking for a rock-solid HT setup. I am mostly a movie watcher and Sports follower on HDTV.

Get a pair of really good bookshelf and its corresponding center and compromise a bit on surrounds. Most of the music is reproduced by fronts and center.
You should get a better system than going for a 5.1 package.

Have a look at PSB Image B5 and C5 center. This will cost you about 45, not leaving you much for surrounds. Suggest you save and get them later. Dont compromise on fronts. Go slow, you dont need to get everything in one shot. I got my surrounds and subs after a year of purchase.
The PSBs requires a 4ohm capable amp that can deliver over 150W @ 4ohm.

I think you should be able to get a better sub than Jamo.

As others suggested, I would also suggest you to buy only the front speakers first (with a sub) and then move for surround later. It looks like you are more interested in Jamo H102. No doubt, they are good speakers, but can I know why you have preference for Jamo H102 ? I mean - were you impressed with it's performance while doing audition ? -or-is budget the main driving force behind your preference ?

I was thinking of Jamo because of following 3 reasons
- I do not have immediate back wall behind sofa, so i need to hand the rear speakers on the ceiling wall. Jamo being a satellite speakers are small/light and can be hung easily
- Falls within my Budget
- I heard the demo and was ok with performance(though not overwhelming for low frequency/bass effect)

However, post comments on HFV, i have decided against satellite speakers now. Looking for another options for speakers. you have any suggestions for bookshelve speakers?
