I have been looking for the JBL LSR305s since a long time and when I was going to UK I was pretty sure what I wanted to bring back!
I was using Audioengine A5 since 7 years. In in room, I felt they lacked overall clarity. I had to use equalizer and turn up treble. It sounded very good in my hall though (and I do prefer little bright sound)
Coming to the LSR 305, I loved the clarity, instrument separation and the vocals. It does not have thumping bass since they are monitors, but the bass is punchy.
PS I am using them with ASUS Xonar STX
