finally i can decide 2 get onkyo 608...but

my av reciver search complete now.i can decide 2 get onkyo 608.but still i can aware with heat issue.my friend have same model.its autometically shutdown after 5 hours play.so i can aware about hdmi board failure.
but still its my fau pick.anybody know how 2 overcome heat issue?onkyo announced new 609 reciver in next few months.any heat issue resolve in 609, can i wait next few months 2 get 609 or buy 608?plz quide me

Mate I have played it for more than 8 hours at times and never had such issue...

One word why I am not in favour of 608 (my full respect with people who already have it, and no argument on its capability as a leading AVR) because during the demo at Promises, Kolkata I found sudden frame drops in DVD video (something we did not find in a Denon 1911 demo we tried with the same DVD at Profx on the same day) which was resulting in the TV trying to make up for the missing frames by doing frame interpolation using Motionflow and was giving minor 1 sec Soap-Opera effects. I did not realize this in the first then came back and read some old reviews at Amazon to confirm my doubt. Please check if you have found this during your demo. Not sure if this was the issue with the demo piece only.

may be it should have happened for some of 608s ,heat issue it will depend on where is avr is placed.

my butget-1 lakh
which speaker pack perfectly matched onkyo608?my 1st preference b&w mt30.but its have strong woofer(pv1).strong bass not suited my apartment.im not interested with my neighbour complaints.
so i can stepdown b&w mt 25.but its handle 8 Ohms.but onkyo 608 handles only 6 Ohms.its create any issues?plz quide me...

Onkyo 608 has some video issues reported(minor though),but has better cooling option than previous models.One need to keep AVR on open shelf & use matching speakers.

any news from Denon or Yamaha bringing out their new range of AVRS?? :yahoo:
maybe the Denon 's xx12 series and Yamaha s xx8 or xx9 series...
I guess every year a new series of AVRS are launched by all d 3 companies...
