I usually dont recommend floorstanders when budget is any lower than 50K.

This budget floorstander from infinity is a really good buy, for 27K, many 50K ones wont come close to what this performs.
Infinity Primus 363

One must note, this requires a 4 ohm capable amp to drive this one.

The only good 3 - Way floorstander available for less than 50K is Sonodyne Sonus 2605 (27K):clapping:.

intresting, the price shows 37 K now and it shows 29K when you search for infinity primus
when I navigated for floorstanders from list it showed a different price.

Too wierd for me to buy anything from there

I learnt the hard way after going through 2 cheap floorstanders, that no matter how one looks at it, the amount of money going into lower end components in multiple numbers to form a floorstander is simply not worth the sacrifice compared to a higher end bookshelf with fewer but better components at a relatively similar price of lower end floorstander. Atleast when it comes to sound quality and reproduction. Parties and shaking stuff up, that's a different matter :)

Just my thoughts on cheaper floor standers :) A preowned floorstander from a higher priceband at the price of a cheaper new floorstander makes more sense in many ways but that's only if one wants to go the preowned way.

On that note I would probably get a kef Q300 or Epos bookshelf or most likely, Hari Iyers new transmission line bookshelf speakers for 25-30k,which from what I heard in denom's review gives floorstanders upto 60k inr a run for their money.

KEF Q300 MRP is around 33k, but should be available for around 30K.
EPOS has several bookshelves, the Epic's/M Series/Elans. I guess these start around 39K (Epic 2's). Elan 10 is around 45K. M12i's are discontinued - guess they cost around 50K -- All MRP's.

The sheer clarity of the kef q-300's completely blew me away. I havent heard any bookshelves or speakers at the 30k mark that sound better (towers or bookshelves included). This includes the sonodyme, polk Rti series or the wharfedales.

Can anyone comment or compare the psb-b6 to the kef-300?? I have heard the psb too but cant get a A/B comparison in my mind cause i havent heard em at the same time.

Any views on the paradigm atom series?
Also any idea how much does the Paradigm studio 10 cost????

paradigm studio 10 - MRP 55k.

when you compare speakers - try to compare with same amp and preferably same source. the auditioning rooms also make a difference.

please let us know what amp you have in mind or are having and the sorce.. music tastes and room size etc..

that way you will have better inputs.

I have the yamaha 473. Ok studio 10 is ruled out i guess cause of the pricing.
The thing is, i use speakers only for movies, music i listen to on headphones. But the q-300 sounded so sweet. The polk rti nor the wharfedals were of any match.
Hence my question on the psb too...

At the 30k mark, r the q-300's the best out there or is there a competitor?
Can the psb's b-6 be compared... Mind u i will always have a sub connected so the lows will not be a problem.
Any views on the atoms by paradigm? THE DEN who is the distributor for atoms in mumbai, does not keep a demo unit.

Just a bit on me, i do kinda have sharp ears and the slightest of detail or lack of it doesnt miss me. Hence my post, that the q-300's were just so sharp, so clear sounding.
Heard all of these speakers on a denon 1912.

These Infinity 363 are very nice speakers. If you have someone who can bring it from US, then Frys.com usually have these for sale for $99 each. If picked from store then no shipping charge. I believe it will still be quite cheaper to ship to Borderlinx and come out ahead.

I believe Paradigm Studio 10 is one step ahead of KEF Q300.. Right ?
