Yes it is a twin spark surppressor model. On a separate note, I'm looking for a brake pad and a strobe light. Any leads?beauty, early gen - Garrard 401 with fixed headshell SME tonearm. Is your's the twin-spark model? Lovely to see a fixed headshell user. I have always been a great fan of the fixed headshell SME 3009 Series II, Improved tonearms.
I'm in touch with him, but he takes a month of Sundays to respond.During the times when I owned and used both the 301 and 401, all my servicing and spares were courtesy of Classic Turntable Company. Loved the flushed strobe 401 versions (had 2 of them), it's just that I could not stomach the fact that the strobe light was switched (Crazy me) but the sound more than made up for everything![]()
