Hi

I have been in touch with Mahesh of Ved Info systems hyderabad for a month to buy a panoview manual pulldown 120 inch. He now says it is out of stock (he told me last month the India distributor have run into some problems with Optoma so the relationahip may be over for ever ) so may be this is their flagship scren now.

He now suggests grandview screen. Has anyone used it ? Pls give feedback. Here is what Mahesh writes :

"Thank you for your continuous inquiries. This encourages us a lot. I am glad to inform you that we have now Grandview 120" manual pull down screen with 16:9 aspect ratio at an unbelievable price of Rs..11,000 plus taxes only. Quality wise Grandview screens stand neck to neck with Panoview. Same to same beautiful housing and fabric with smooth scrolling.

Panoview screens are out of stock completely and we cannot assure you of a correct time when it is available for Asian market"

Thanks
Manish

Hi Manish, I have seen the Grandview 4:3 screen and the quality was not as good as the Panoview. But I was told the 16:9 Grandview screen was a better material, but I coudl not check it as I had bought the Panoview. You can check out the Grandview screens at Centervision in Chamarajpet. Speak to Ramesh at 9900523205.

I am using a grandview screen from last 3 months, till now have not faced any issues and its a manual pull down screen.

have the Grandview 4:3 ,120" manual pull down since 2 yrs ,use it as 16:9 , no big issues ,sometimes takes a while to lock @ desired position , in terms of BQ panoview may be better

the grandview shud be available cheaper than 11k , i got mine for 8k

I called this guy called Basheer (thanks Subhash for the contact). He also said no Panoview. Kept on saying take Grandview sir - it is same as Panoview, simply the label was Panoview with a higher price :)

I must say I am now stumped as I had planned on PV looking at its build quiality at Santosh. I need to buy in NOW. Are there other people on the forum who are for Gandview ?

Pls help.

Go for grandview, i have read reviews on the same, have not seen any major issues as such, i was in a similar position where i wanted to go for other models but due to non availability went for grandview and i am not disappointed

Dushie

Is there a web page to see the specs ? Can u pls let me know end to end (including black spaces) width and height of 120 inch ? Do u have manual pull down ? is it ok ? Where did u buy and for how much ?

Thx

I have the 4:3 manual pull down grandview screen for the HD20. Its my first screen so I do not have benchmarks. Nevertheless I like what I see. I was advised this because its a fast moving item in Bangalore (mine is the 6ft one) and therefore the prices are reasonable (5k)
I find that it does not always lock at the position you want so you end up making a couple of attempts at it. The screen gain of +1 makes it very bright and I am beginning to think its a tad bright when I watch with no ambient light.
Overall, I think its a good deal given that in my case the HD20 is also a budget HD projector.
PM me if you need a dealer name in Bangalore. You can quote me.

5k is a good price , is it 8 X 6 or 6 X 8 ,coz for the 8x6 which i use as 16:9 @ 120" i paid 8k

8 feet is the width (horizontal) and 6 feet the height (vertical) when fully stretched

Subhash from where u got Grandview screen? Can u please share the contact details?

TIA

from hansa pic ,bangalore
contact info --9342540415

8k for grandiew 8 x 6, 4:3 installation charges included , sure there are better deals on the same now

FOlks mine is a 6X4 which is 6ft wide. Its the smallest screen size available in grandview. That translates to 80" diagonal which is easy to compare with TV sizes.
More on why I went for a smaller screen...

when i was planning to buy i was looking for a 130" screen, as Dalite stock was not there and no luck in finding any other good 16:9 screens in stock or available at that time. I went for a 4:3 150" screen and i am happy with the same. the PQ is good, insta locks works fine most of the time and no other issues faced till now.

Thanks everyone. I am feeling better about GV now :)

However everyone seems to be having the 4:3. Does anyone have grandview 20 inch 16:9? How much did u pay ?

Thx
Manish
