Went to the Denon showroom today and the owner gave me the contact details for the ProFX distributor Mr. Negi.

I have mailed him the requirements for atleast 13 AVR's and awaiting his response.

Profx Mumbai OR Bangalore?I think Mr.Ganesh is incharge of Bangalore profx & he is kind to accept the offer.

Same denom has updated in our group buy thread itself, via his source we can get for 35.5k with B&W.

As of now Denom's source is the best price, lets wait for holahola price

Sorry guys, this dealer isn't offering more than 7.5% off market price. I think 35.5 bill and warranty is a great price and you guys should take it.

Guys , stick to the realistic prices while the stocks are available. 35.5k with B&W is a great price. Do not compare neck to neck with U.S prices or get into dealers profit margins. Every one has to make a living. As long as you find the price is decent and not being robbed , go for it I say.

I agree but if one guy buys and gets the same discount then what is the advantage of a group buy. I think the dealer/seller should consider that he is going to get 10-15 customers in one shot without investing any time and effort. He'd probably meet is monthly target in one day! And just for that a group buy deserves a better pricing than an individual purchase.

Realistically, you cannot expect the prices to come down to US or amazon.de level but if one guy goes into the shop and gets it for, say, 35.5K, expecting 34 or 34.5K for a group buy is justified.

Alfa mumbai quoted INR 37.5 k with B & W , I think we are supposed to check with other dealers also . Can anyone try with Pro FX & Kripa International...

The person said he'd get back to me with the offer. I told them it's guaranteed minimum of 10 pcs. Lets see...

I agree....else whats the point of going for a group buy...that too knowing tht in all probability the dealer would be from outside your state! If price difference is just 2-3k, il rather buy from a dealer near my house.

I got a call back from ProFx. It appears someone else had called them a couple of days ago for 20pcs. He said the best he could give us is 15% that comes to around 39K.

I fee if we go and talk to them personally, they might be more flexible. Over phone they might be thinking we are individuals trying to pull a fast one on them for one-two pcs.

Absolutely! But expecting it 30k or below is like equating to the U.S price and including some driver beta for shipping & handling ....

I hav an offer from Techno Guru, Denon 1912 for 37000 Ex Mumbai, with original bill and warranty (Manufacturer's Warraty)... Shipping to other cities (Extra). Payment mode by NEFT or Cash at Nerul-Navi Mumbai only...

Note: For Mumbai buyers, you have to collect the same from Nerul only.. (even if u make the payment by NEFT or Cash)

Trust me when I say that the price quoted is the best, as the market for the popular entry & mid level Denon AVR's is so cut throat that these guys are making wafer thin margins. The rate of 35.5k is the best that is achieved as my source will never cheat me & is given in good faith thats why he is comfortable in giving such a price for 1 or 100 pcs. Has anyone got a better price with B&W than this so far???? Answer is NO!


If prospective buyers thinking that they can get better price, well then keep waiting. Choice is entirely yours.

There may be a couple of other deals in the anvil also but whats the point of offering them as all people do in the forum is talk & NOT buy anything. For me its my hobby to pursue a good deal & oblige fellow FM's to get the benefits. Rest is upto them.

Relax brother Denom, nobody means any disrespect to you. I am sure all agree that so far the offer you got for the group is the best. But to seek more for less is typically human (and dare I say Indian )

Maybe you can give the group a couple more days for them to reassure themselves that they are getting the best possible deal. We all know how disturbing Cognitive Dissonance can be once the money has parted hands

20 % is what the profx distributer ready to give. I am pushing for 25 percent if that is done i think we can finalise the deal.

Getting 25 percent would mean rs 34425.

But with the Marantz SR5006 available for 40k on HFV GroupGuy. Which is on par with American/ Global prices.

Its worth a serious consider.

I am totally agree with this .. It's a very nice deal against Denon 1912..
