HD Gone! TataSky going nuts?

There were lots of news that from 8th Oct that to see any HD on tatasky on needs to subscribe to its corresponding SD channel.

Now even though I have the mega pack valid till next year, no HD access from today! Dunno what they meant by price protection in the Annual Mega packs..

Their CS have no clue on this and as usual the reply is wait for 1 day - some technical issue to be resolved..

TSky's greed :rolleyes: is going to cost it dear ...
Hope they come to their senses soon enough now that GSAT is up and running...

PS: Some 4 channels (3 tamil + Colors HD) added from today..
 
I called them today morning to check about the disappearing of HD channels. I too am subscibed for Mega pack(without SUN network) from Feb 2012 to Feb 2014. The CSA said that they are launching colors HD and everyone is facing this issue and should get resolved in 2 hours. Not sure if it is back on now, but judging by your issue, its probably not!
 
Same with me. Looks like they upped their packs.

Annual mega pack becomes annual SD pack 5500/-

Annual HD pack 6400/-

SD multiroom remains at 160/- pm

HD multiroom is 200/- pm

But they should continue current subscribers till end of service. My service ends in December. They were not available on chat, so I've put up a service request.
 
I received the following text message from Tata Sky:- Wef 8 Oct, HD Gold Pack changes to HD Access Fee. Now you can watch HD Channels on Tata Sky for the channels you have subscribed in Standard Definition. T&C
When i called customer care to inquire, if i needed the SD channels coz i don't have any, they had no clues.

The existing subscriptions with annual mega pack MUST be continued with all the price protection etc they mentioned about when I subscribed for the same. Infact I subscribed for 2 years in Feb 2012 going by the CS telling me about mega pack having all SD and HD channels. Fingers crossed, I hope the HD channels are restored, else will have to raise hell with the CS folks.
 
I had the same issue of HD channels not working. I called up their CC and they did something on their end. All channels are back in a jiffy. Root cause being mentioned is the addition of Colors HD being added. I am a mega pack subscriber.

Same problem here as well...all the HD channels are locked!

Have raised a ticket online with Tata Sky support and waiting on their helpline for last 10 mins! Request all HFV to put in a complaint immediately.

Edit: Finally after holding the line for 15 mins, got connected to the CS rep and he immediately activated all the channels. Appears to be a technical glitch.

My Tatasky HD box showed downloading software 10 minutes ago and everything went blank after 5 minutes with few 0s displayed with some symbols... I restarted the box and it is no longer powering on!!!
 
Tatasky has gone crazy i guess......
i had south sports pack paid annually and a few a la carte channels plus hd pack now for me to watch all the hd channels i have to pay 100 per month plus 200 plus every month................:rolleyes:
thats what the cs guy tells me :mad:

its bye bye tatasky, if they don't change this...
 
My current supreme sports pack(Subscribed for the period from 30-03-12 to 29-03-13 @ 1500) is going well . Colours HD added today- nice to have . I confirmed from TS CS about my Hd pack & I was assured to be enjoyed HD pack@ 75 PM till the expiry of my base pack( Supreme Sports).
 
I called CC this morning and got the issue fixed, CC ppl told me that due to some technical issues all the HD channels were off for the all the customers across the country.
 
Guys, there was too much panic yesterday (HD channels gone). Looking at this thread too tells me that we like to panic. I, too was without HD channels yesterday (I am a Mega Lite Pack subscriber). I did call up CC and they said that there was a technical glitch and channels should be restored in a couple of hours. That was around 2 PM. By 5 PM nothing had happened. When I reached home around 8, still nada. I tried calling CC again but could not get through. This morning all HD channels were restored.

I did see this thread but refrained from further rhetoric.

We should all learn to be calm first. Here is my though process (and this could apply to any DTH provider):

Symptom: Some or all channels lost. Called the CC. Problem resolved.
Our response: A :thumbsup: for provider and its CC.

Symptom: Some or all channels lost. Called the CC. Problem not resolved for quite some time. Repeat calls. Problem resolved after significant loss of time (and service).
Our response: Shake your fists and perhaps make your receding hairline recede futher (pull your hair). Report in forums.

Symptom: Some or all channels lost. Called the CC. CC says that package price revised and you got to pay more, etc.
Our response: All hands abandon ship! Repeat! All hands abandon ship!!
 
Getting tired of TataSky's shenanigans :mad:.
I only watch the HD channels. Was forced to take a base pack of Rs.125 since they don't provide HD pack alone. HD pack started with Rs.45. Was a happy customer. Slowly and steadily HD pack went upto Rs.100 and base pack went upto Rs.170.
Now 1/3rd of the puny number of HD channels are blocked. And now have to pay a illogical fee to access just a mere 11 HD channels. Can't take no more :mad:
Is there a cable operator portability in the cards?
