I am having the Mega pack Rs200+Rs100(HD Gold pack). With the recent change, HD Access (rs100/-) I am reduced to 7 HD channels from earlier 10 HD channels. Now I don't get Star Movies HD, Star World HD, Star Cricket HD and ESPN HD. I have to shell off another 115 bucks if I want to see these channels as I need to add these individual SD channels in my package. I talked to customer care and told that I would need to pay 25% extra for the same package that I used to get before 8th Oct. They have taken my feedback and complain and forwarded to the marketing team. I have to seriously think whether I should switch to Cable or continue with TS. My cable operator provides setup box with HD channels at Rs250/-. I need to see what all channels they are offering and how is the video/audio quality.

What is the expiry date of your mega pack?. You can demand TS to add SD versions of the missing HD Channales as a la carte to your account free of cost for the balance period. You will have to fight to get it.
Later when you renew your mega pack, you may have to pay for all SD versions to get HD versions in addition to paying access fee.
I don't know about the quality of cable HD STB. You may consider other HD DTH Providers like Videocon D2H or Airtel Digital if you want to switch
I do monthly recharge of TS. The next recharge is due in 17th nov.
In order to get all the SD-version I need to pay Rs115/- extra(for additional 4 channels). There will be additional cost of setup box if I move to other DTH provider, I don't want to spend another 6000 bucks on setup box.
