HDMI Confusion !!!!

i want to go in for a htib onkyo ht - s3300 which has hdmi 1.4 and lg 42le5500 which supports hdmi 1.3.My question is will hdmi 1.3 support hdmi 1.4.
i have a living room 30 sq ft(typical old goan house).is this HTIB suitable for this type of room.i also heard about onkyo ht -s3400.any clue of its pricing and where in mumbai can i buy it ???thanks in advance !!!!

1.3 will work with 1.4 ; but u wont be able to make use of the 1.4 features like 3d and audio return channel on your 1.3 display...

As for hts3400 if you could even do a Google search the first result returned is -

HDMI 1.4 is backwards compatible with 11.3 so you will not have any issues.
