Heathkit Daystrom AA-151 Tube Amplifier

Heathkit Virtual Museum | AA-151

It was claimed
1) It works,can be tested
2) It is 250 volts
3) All tubes are Indian Philips

Now I was not able to test it.

@ 7 to 10 K will it be a good deal?
Any experiences with this amp?

I was able to see following tube details in specs

2nos -6EU7, 2nos -6AU6, 2nos -6AN8, 4nos-EL84/6BQ5, 1no -GZ34/5AR4

can anyone tell me that how much total tube change will cost?

This amp was available in kit form,is it really -ve?

Will built in phono pre be good/?

It's a good looking amp and the output transformers on it are
well regarded - comparable to the ones on the fabled Dynaco ST-35.
It is a good buy, especially you are a tube lover and diy type.

You will have to replace all the old electrolytic capacitors, which are likely
to have dried out.
The phono stage is probably not very good.
A full tube set will be about $100 or more - just a rough estimate.
If you are lucky, you may be able to find them locally and cheap.
(I keep hearing about tubes available locally, but haven't been to lucky
to find any useful ones.)

There are lot of mods for this amp and plenty of info online -
