I have a 7.1 system consisting of -

Polk TSi300 towers for front, side and rear
Polk Cs20 center speaker
Polk Dsw 550 subwoofer

Onkyo Ht-rc270 receiver (which is the same as Onkyo tx-nr608.)

Can you guys advise on calibrating them? I have already set them using audyssey and further tweaked them myself but I want to improve the sound quality.

Any advice on crossover, dynamic range, dynamic volume, etc?
What about crossover of sub?

Difference between increasing the volume on the subwoofer and increasing the decibels of the subwoofer in the receiver?

I bitstream lossless audio via HDMI and I use this only for blu-rays. There is no acoustic treatment in the room. It is 11 feet x 20 feet.

any specific reason for using tsi300 for front..as well as side and as well as sides..??

anyway experiment with different xover for your liking..
also with dymanic off,light ,mediuam..high..

What do you mean? Tsi300 not good enough or too much for surrounds?

I am experimenting but could use advice on whether or not to use dynamic eq and volume. What do you guys do?

i use dyanamic eq....refrence zero.and dynamic light..i like it..you may not.

my question is noramally people use dipole for surrounds...so why tsi 300...for side and rears..any specific reason....also there are very less original 7.1 tracks..

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
