Hey guys,

JUST help me with this.
I would like to have a 5.1 setup in the bedroom with 2 additional speakers in the bathroom.........so let me know plzzzzzz how this could be done.........

Check if your AVR has a Zone 2 or Zone B option. If yes, connect a pair of speakers to use in another Zone\Room.

Guys .......i needed to do cabling so just wanted to know whether 1 system will work for my requirement.....would buy d system later

Your bathroom stereo speakers could be wired to the front LR channel speaker outputs of your AVR. I guess that the program played to your bathroom speakers would be mostly stereo which anyhow appears only on the front LR channels only. If you plan to route 5.1 audio to your bathroom speakers then you should buy an AVR with a downmix facility so you can use this mode when playing your bathroom stereo speaker system.

Alternatively you could use a separate stereo amplifier to drive the bathroom speakers and wire the DVD player stereo outputs to this stereo amplifier.

for a bathroom bookshelves wont do. you need something more heavy duty. atleast a 12" sub with floorstanders and a huge amp. now that'll wake you up

ps. pl take care on the quality of the coffee mug you use as the sound waves could break it

ps2. just taking your trip buddy. if you want to listen to music in the bathroom then you must go for it. personally thats the only place in the house where i get time to myself
