Hi Guys,

My new AVR460 does now allow automatic setting and speaker calibration if there are fewer speakers than 5.1 I only have Front, centre and sub, which means I have to set it manually. I want to know if its okay to sent the individual channel level in (+) , because my old devon always use to set the channel level in (-). Would there is any adverse effect if I set the front and centre to +3db and sub to 0 db ?

Thanks,
Sunder.

It should be ok . as long as it sounds good to your ears.

Alternately set fronts and center and sub to 0 db

What is the sensitivity of the center channel and the fronts. if the center channel sensitivity is lower than the fronts, increase the channel level a few notches.

Keep the sub level on the AVR as O and set the fronts / center channel as small
play around with the sub gain levels on the plate amp of the sub till it sounds just about rite
