Link To Specs : Aiwa Hi-Fi Amplifier XA-006

I would Like a Have a Speaker For This AMP From The Speaker Geeks Out Here For The Best SQ .I Plan to connect the AMP to My Computer And Sometimes To My Portable MP3 Player .

you need very efficient speakers with the amp > 90dB @ 8 ohms. Also, from the specs, this is probably a good choice for bookshelf speakers and in a smaller room 12x12 or smaller (thats my guess).

Wharf, Tannoy, Polk, Energy, Mission are some brands to look into.

What are your source components? That will matter how well the sound comes through.

Well,
Room is indeed small ,source would be a computer mostly and very rarely a mp3 player

Would try to match the impedance and also try to settle for higher sensitivity here ....

You may look at Klipsch RB 41 II (91 db, 8 ohms, 50 W) or CA SL30/S30 (90 db, 4-8 ohms, 100 W) or Paradigm Atom / Mini Monitor.

With higher sensitivity speakers, the requisite loudness can be obtained without sacrificing on the low power output of the amp.

Needless to say, one must AUDITION the speakers with the same amp.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Why?

Edit: Also what is: Are you tying the sensitivity to the impedence?

Sensitivity is very highly dependent on the speaker impedence over the range of frequencies its made to operate. Sensitivity, and by extension any speaker specs, by itself is of not much value.

I understand that. Thanks! My question was different. But never mind. I now realize that the semantics of what you said could be interpreted in 2 different ways and I picked on the "other" way.
What you probably meant was a speaker having sensitivity greater than 90 db AND having impedance @ 8 Ohms.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
