Though I have no experience of such units, I can say, considering Yamaha's design quality that, as far as voltage switching is considered, these units will not cause any problem. I suppose this is the advise you were looking for.

Not a spam or trick...its true

I spoke to my friend and asked if he has heard of such a avr...

and to my surprise the Yamaha avr he has has the same functionality...which he had bought from some AV shop near The Club, andheri west, mumbai.

He was told that when cos. want to export their product to all the other countries from a particular location, the co. gives such a power switching option and International warranty too.

my fren also got yamaha india warranty when he had bought the avr!

My Onkyo made, in Malaysia has a switch got from Sumaria,Mumbai.

Brother, most companies have power transformers that allow one to simply open the 'hood and desolder a jumper to allow it to function in 220V.

Your own Rotel allows you that!

In fact my Rotel CDP was bought in the US. I simply got someone to see the circuit doagram and figure out which jumper has to be de-soldered and then re-soldered into the 220V position!

Plus, any company that is claiming this, esp a company like Yamaha, will back it up with the real thing.

I appreciate your advice and voice of caution, but my suggestion is to that before you post, do some research! After all, it is a public statement that you're making.

I have yamaha rxv 361 (india) and it comes with selector at the back panel to switch from 110 to 220..so its no scam

Brother i dont complain about the product i have one denon cdp and denon stereo amp is also 220 or 110V switch only
i am just complainig about the web-site

i have done some research and here its for you

i just want to make HFV member's Beware of their hard earned money

there are many chinese websites selling high end AV receivers for 10K but yu will never get the stuffs to your home !
