Hi Performance - Bookshelf!

Looks beautiful but I'm worried about the fact that the woofer is not flush mounted on the baffle. This may lead to high frequency diffraction effects at the edges of the woofer. It won't be as bad as diffraction due to the tweeter not being flush mounted but when so much care was taken for everything else, why not do this basic tweak.
If you look at the midbass driver's build and form, you will see that it has been correctly mounted in this design. Some drivers are designed to be flush mounted, others for surface mounting. A close look at the driver photos on diyaudiocart will make this matter clearer.

Obviously, everybody has his own opinion on aesthetics, but IMHO the woofer orientation and placement of the drivers is optimal as it stands now - it is a compact and pleasing arrangement.

Wow thats a fantastic build!! Amazing work! As a complete newbie in diy, is it ok to try to make something like this? Using the same drivers as this or the original xls? Just wanting to confirm because its your design, no issues if you have your rights reserved :)
And if it is ok to recreate this, could I build the crossover myself? From parts via diyaudiocart? THanks in advance
