Hi Guys
I am thinking of going to coorg for 4-5 days. Is it a good destination? What is the weather like, in May?
I would also like suggestions for places to stay, and go around.

thanks

Pretty good place, but IMO, not the best time to visit! End of September to early January is better.

Places to stay - KSTDC Mayura Valley View (reasonable tariff, but the best hotel to see the sun set from in Coorg), CoorgInternational (expensive), etc. I prefer "home stays" here, although they are not cheap either.

Lot of places to see in and around Madikeri (Coorg), though.
- Bhagamandala
- Talakaveri
- Raja seat
- Harangi Dam
- Tibetian colony
- Dubare (Elephant camp, water rafting)
- Chikli dam
- Nisarga Dhaama
- Abbe Falls
- etc,
- etc,
- etc

I took my family last year and decided to stay in one of the boarding homes in the plantations. Though not cheap I would have much preferred a resort such as Kadakani or the Jungle lodges as the children were bored easily.

Also better to go after sept as the weather can get humid now.

Ooty is a nice option if you haven't been there

check this out of you have decided for Coorg:

Green Hills Estate | 19 C, Coorg, Karnataka

one of my friends stayed here and spoke highly of the place. Infact I have stayed at one of their other properties and found the service and overall package worth the cost.
Whether, of course, is not as cool as one might expect from a hill station. but if you have activities planned, as mentioned by nshankar, it might be a good option.
