I am rueful to say this but your point doesn't make any sense mate. PlayStation and Sony TVs are well renowned for their performance but not Sony HTs. At the end of the day, you are the one who earned hard and you're free to spend it just as you wish.:)

I researched a lot talk to many expert in sound n listen to it my self all tat they all have to say there is hardly any diff ok kind of 19.20 type n if ur talking of bose people hate it not coz of it sound but coz of it price it delivers no 1 sound then yamaha ,denon all medicore system if u buy AVR separately it will cost u diff then u buy speakers it will cost u diff wats the logic in it go for full HT including AVR coming Sony it has made one entry level product d2h home theater it is best entry level compare to all entry level HT making co. as in its price n sound rest cost heavier n like said sound is only 19.20 ratio differ u take a demo of it n see .

You actually remind me of my early days when I was fascinated by looking at HTs by Samsung, LG, Sony and my only goal was acquiring a Bose system their fancy cube speaker systems. I have similar kind of feelings regarding other brands, But when I started my hunt for quality HT system, I auditioned several systems including Marantz, Denon, Onkyo and Pioneer with different speakers like Wharfedale, tannoy, Elac, Energy etc. and then I understood the difference. After that one day I went to the audition of Bose system and believe me my friend I did not like that at all. The cost of that system was around 2 lacs and even then I found it no good if not worst than the systems mentioned above.

Sony is a very good brand for their other products but it is no superior than the specialist brands like Yamahas, Denons and Onkyos in the field of Audio.

At the end I am satisfy with my system and i know wat iam listening coz i have tested all n i don want a commercial cinema hall wat HT it means i have . like i said listen to believe

At the end of the day, Its all depends upon on the individual taste and preference. If you are satisfied with the system then no question. But I wont say Bose is the best in reproducing sound. With that price of bose we can set up a better sound quality system.

Sony is also a good brand but not in HTs. They are best in TVs, projectors and gaming consoles but no no on HT.

I have previously had a Sony HT with me. I am just sharing my experience. I will try to audition the new ht by this weekend in the sony showroom.

Dear Friends,
Thanks for your comments. My hall size is 18 X 11 feet with 4 door opening.
I want to know that mim how much RMS required?

is it Ok 600 watts?

I am considering following HT's

1. Denon X500 + SYS 5.1 ==> 36K
2. Yamaha 299 ==> 37K
3. Onkiyo 3500 ==> 36K
4. Pioneer 323 ==> 36

To my point of view dont go with the specs, just go and have audition those 4 HTs, that could be more satisfying for you to buy any one.

I was in the same state as you a year before and I too used to like sony, lg, etc for ht till i auditioned a basic onkyo hts-3400 and yamaha yht-299. Also took a demo of denon dht-1312xp(now replaced by x500). I must say nothing from sony, lg, samsung etc comes close to these systems. Sony as said by many hfv members is best at making tvs, projectors and gaming consoles. Look no further that a proper dedicated A/V Reciever with 5.1 speakers. The intial cost will be high but you will not regret later. Best way to decide is to audiotion yourself. One person may like a particular system whereas the other may not. Your ears are the best judge.
