How Is Reliance HD DVR?

Dish also has ghosting issue on MoviesNow. I reported it last week, and they acknowledged that some users have already reported the problem and they have to fix the problem from their side.
I cant blame TV as the other channels dont have any such issues.
Is it possible that it is STB issue? Few times I have noticed slight ghosting on SETMAX as well, only during the Advertisements.

The issue you are talking about is NTSC to PAL converted or 60Hz to 50Hz converted video artifacts which is content based. Otherwise usually there was no ghosting issue if the content was proper on Movies Now. Its not a STB issue but an issue of video processing at content provider's end. You would usually see this issue on some of the FTA and some paid News channels as well when they show certain content...

Any idea on how to get rid of this? Could any TV settings take care of this?
I am using a Samsung LED

Well no idea about the 5.1 stuff since i don't have a receiver. But from the HDMI the stereo effect is much better or better sounding.
As far as PQ in HD its quite good, obviously it won't match a good HD rip,but its enough to make you want more true HD channels(not upscaled).
Movies Now quality as been improved since the last 2 days.

How are the SD channels on Reliance HD STB? Does the upscaled channels look better? Please advise.

After moving from reliance SD STB to HD STB, the quality of SD channels have gone down. Is there anyway we can improve the quality on HD Box? Please advise.

The upscaled channels look better only if watched from a distance. The images looked very artificial to me while watching at close distances.

There is no way to improve the quality. It has already been spoiled by the upscaling.

Well unfortunately you can't ,is the tv connected via HDMI or component.

If your tv is from a first tier company like samsung/sony etc it will most likely have a better upscaler then the one present in the HD STB.

I have panasonic 50V20D, and it is connected via HDMI to the HD STB. Is component better than HDMI?

You won't get HD like PQ on a 50" TV while watching SD channels. SD channels are best seen on a 21" CRT TV. HDMI is better than component. By using component you will not get PQ improvements.

English feed on NDTV good times?

How do we set the language feed, as english for NDTV good times in reliance digital HD STB? I keep doing this every time i get onto this channel. Is there anyway we can permanently set it for english feed? Please advise.
