sorry guys...looks like I wasted my time and urs too.
I had written to HSU, they initially replied that they will work something out as prices are crazy for shipping, and today I received another mail and they did a 180. So it is going to be whatever price it is being offered at the website.
The difference is just 40$ between HSU VFT-2 MK3 & Rythmik FV12. So I wil be going with the FV12, and get it shipped the usual way! (the servo technology in FV12 makes it a better buy than the VTF-2 when difference is only 40$) So it looks like it is gonna be 50K for me.

even i dont, I have a cousin who does, will be using it. Also if you pay via a US card its cheaper as u save bank forex charges

I got email from HSU & price offered without discount.They said if SW picked up from there factory,price will be $399 OR add $45 as S/H.

As said Sherwood sub manufactured by HSU not on HSU web.

Dr HSU seems to have been consulted for the building of this sub, but its not a HSU sub - as intimated by HSU.

Yea, i checked that before asking HSU. Quoating the reply verbatim...
"It appears that Dr. Hsu consulted on the design of that model, but it's
not exactly an Hsu sub. An Hsu Research sub would be STF/VTF/ULS series.
I have VT 12 HSU HTS but without SUB since it was too bulky to carry, looking for a good SUB locally, what better than HSU. Moreover this sherwood model is selling under 80$ in US which could be a great value for money, but than unsure of what it can do on performance front.

Have you enquired with rythmik if their malaysia dealer can service indian orders, you might save on shipping.
But they do mention on their site that the malaysia dealer might have a higher price than direct as it involves cost of shipping to malayasia, still you should check with them compare the quotes and then finalize with the cheaper option.

well....already done that. Malaysian guy quoted $1250 (57K) as compared to 50K directly shipped For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
