Been doing a lot of soul searching for a new speaker set for ONKYO NR 609, after pondering over brands of satellite speakers ( can't buy BIG BIG Floor standers - wife wont allow)

I am down to

Infinity TSS 1200
ProCinema 600
Onkyo 870

I am not sure, if I can explain the reasoning for the above three but still will try.

Infinity looks grt ( needed attribute :indifferent14:) + it is the top of the line for TSS series, good reviews

Procinema - good review

Onkyo 870 - top of the line for their pkg, 7.1 will go well with 609 and - well it should be a matched set.

Can some one throw some light - I guess my budget would be for 40K (+/- 5),
preferably on the minus side...

Hopefully someone will not suggest ETC classic/Polk/Klipsch/Boston.. Bookshelf and Floor Standers rules out !!

Any side thoughts on Martin Logan MLT1 and Harman Kordon HKTS ?

Thanks in advance...

Bump - No replies ...

So - here goes the final call.

Done some penny pinching and pulled the trigger for procimena 60.6. Now need to connect and know if I did the right thing.

The NR 609 arrived thru ebay - no problem. Was worried if it would be DOA

It was'nt. Connected the 609 to 42 Plasma, Tata SKY and LG DVD player, so far so good.

Except that the onkyo relays click on power on and off, at least the transformer does not hum... Hummmm...

Invested in a Maxcon step down and set of 14 OFC AWG + MX set of cables ( 50 ft RCA, HDMI )

All set to connect up the speakers and see (??) how they sound

Right now the DVD player is connected on Digital Audio ( mine does not have a HDMI out...)

Any suggestion on should I go in for TOSLINK optical audio...

would like to hear from anyone who has connected the NR to wireless network... Planning to order the UWF-1 nano wireless dongle

Do I need to do the NR firmware update ?
