Hello everyone,

I hope you all are doing well.

I wanted you all to guide me and pick the right upgrade for my stereo music setup.

I am currently using Blusound node https://www.bluesound.com/products/node/ as a streamer and preamp with the crossover set at 70hz with a JL Audio E110 subwoofer https://www.jlaudio.com/products/e110-ash-home-audio-e-sub-powered-subwoofers-96276 which I really love for it’s performance and would highly recommend if anyone is planning to add one to their system.
Integrated amp is Nad C 388 https://nadelectronics.com/product/c-388-hybrid-digital-dac-amplifier/ 150 watts output per channel powering my Focal Chora 826 https://www.focal.com/en/home-audio/high-fidelity-speakers/chora/chora-826 floor standing speakers.

I recently heard to the Focal Kanta N2s without a sub and was really impressed by the detail and weight in mid and lower mids which I feel is missing in my setup. They just sound so good, absolutely a treat to my ears.

I know they are almost 5 times the price of the Choras so the performance cannot be matched but still wanted to do what I can to get closer to that performance.

So I thought if I add a Nad C298 https://nadelectronics.com/product/c298-stereo-power-amplifier/ power amp to the setup will it also make the speakers sound fuller even at low volume listening?

Is adding a power amp to my integrated amp any good at all? Or should I just wait for sometime. Save some money and upgrade the speakers to maybe a Kanta N2 or a Sopra N2?

In terms of upgrades? Do power conditioners make a big difference to the sound? Shall I consider adding one to my system? I came across Isotek Gemini V5 https://isoteksystems.com/products/v5-gemini/ costing me around 30k.

If conditioners do make a diff would this be a right choice?

Anything else you all think can be added to make the system sound better?

Thanking you Audiophiles for the help and guidance in advance. 🙂

Hi, adding a power amp to your existing integrated will not do any good, if you like the Kanta go for it. You can’t bring the flavour of Kanta in a chora by changing the amp and power conditioner ( in fact power conditioner connected to amps will deteriorate the sound , they are more suited for digital devices like dac and cdp)
cheers
