Hi all,
Quite a few of my friends have found NAD Amps (both integrated and separates) to be quite mellow when it comes to Rock Music (especially Heavy Metal) listening. Here's an interesting article which I thought might interest you. However although I do not personally recommend this approach (just as good as using a graphic equalizer) some might find this useful.
