IR repeaters/extenders for receivers?

I just got a Marantz sr6011.

It's placed behind the seating area (I have a projector setup and all the equipment is behind me) and the remote can't send commands unless directly pointed at it. I tried with the Logitech Harmony 650. Same issue.

This is disappointing as my old Onkyo worked no matter where I pointed the remote.

So what are my options now? Do I buy an IR Blaster, Extender or Repeater?

I want the remote to work when pointed in the opposite direction.

Repeater is your best bet. Depending on the distance you may have to get some extension cables for the repeater.
