Isolation & Vibration Control - SoundFoundations

Hopefully
FM bhagwan will post some pics with his equipment and his opinions later

Yes, I shall.

I am to get them on Thursday / Friday.

Will install them on Saturday & spend the weekend 'listening'
Will post pics & impressions - soon.

Thanks 'magma'

Great Effort - Fit & finish in pics looks good.

Now, I shall reserve further comments until I physically get the product in hand & 'touch' them.

Performance will only be known after I have installed them.

:p

Hello Ali. May I ask what is the Cera base? Is that short for ceramic? What difference do you find between the SS and Cera please?
Thanks.

Cera is because of the use of zirconium nitride (ceramic ) ball
SS is short Stainless Steel

the outer cage is an SS Alloy
the balls inside are ceramic

the silver ones are SS Alloy cage with a ceramic ball

the black ones were custom made for FM bhagwan only
they are made from a differnt material

you may google 'cera base"
one word though
you will know what they are

my product is called the IsoBase

Got the delivery of a 'few' [Thanks Magma]

Started installing them;

Right now - only under the 'pre'

The Allnic was the 1st to get its S.F. Products.
They displaced the Alto Extremo [Germany]

Trial runs will begin this week.

will post tonight about it here

Received Sound Foundation's ISOBASEs a week back.....

I placed four units each between my Line Magnetic Speakers & stands and ensured stability of these heavy speakers.

When I played the first track, I have noticed clear change in sound field background ...It became very quiet. It's very difficult to dissect and express the subtle changes felt after the installation but end of the day ,I am happy for the purchase and the way ISOBASEs organised the music presentation without disturbing the Sound quality.

Thank you Ali for presenting quality products at a reasonable price.

Excellent;

A few pics would be nice - just to understand how & where you placed them & what they replaced..

Thanks,

I received mine (a set of 4) about a week ago. Since then I have tried them in various configurations under my SL Kraft250 amp. (not easy because it weighs 45kg), and at-least to my ears they sound best as feet for a wooden platform on top of which the kraft is located. This is perhaps the best amp. stand that I have had so far. Overall I feel that the sound has improved, I perceive wider soundstage, tighter bass and improved resolution. BTW the fit & finish quality of these are superb:clapping:. Thanks Ali!
Cheers,
Sid

@bhagwan
Earlier I have used ISOBALL .
I feel ISOBASE is more effective for heavy weights (like my speakers) and it served my purpose.

Here is a pic. of my amp. stand with the isobase. As stated earlier I am very pleased with its performance in this configuration.
Cheers,
Sid

Cerabase Compact isolation feet - Krispy Audio

4 pieces are @ US $'s 1150/- i.e. Rs. 75/- K [Freight + Duty extra]

In India they are @ Rs. 12/- K for 4

I like them a lot.

Suggest most people give them a try - you may just be 'surprised' !

'Magma' your F & F has improved - well done ! :clapping:

Yes I concur, absolutely excellent value.

@sid

you have the cerabases on the carpet

remove the base insert ( the dark green insert on the bottom is removable - just pop it )
you may gain stability

I may want to suggest a 'different' approach;

a]
Get a Granite Slab - same size [cut & polished]

b]
Keep the Granite on the Carpet

c]
Put the Isolation devices on the Granite Slab

d]
The Rest of your Amp & Base - as you have used

This in my opinion will improve on things further

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
